Welcome to JOURNAL JAM where we will pull prompts and paint in response for as long as we feel like.

Please note that I can’t help with technical difficulties during the live stream. Most of us find that having a free account with Vimeo and then logging in helps with things such as access chat. Refreshing your browser or turning down the stream resolution (look for the little gear in the lower right-hand side of the screen) solve most streaming issues.

Replays will be available on YouTube within a matter of a few days. Find me here: http://youtube.com/effythewild

Blank page, no primer or gesso. The right page will serve as a palette

1. Rolling dice to get a colour to start.
# 4 Green – Effy used shades of green to start the spread.
1.1 *Impulse* Placed green down in marks like mosaic tiles.
1.2 * Impulse* Brayered mosaics to remove some of the excess paint. Used excess paint on palette page to create background. There was a ton of paint so she placed a blank page over it and brayered it, creating a monoprint.
2. Stamp with bubble wrap
3. Quick – draw a leaf!
3.1 *Impulse* Added three leaves
4. Add a color you love – glazed with Pthalo Turquoise
5. Add some tape – Effy used masking tape sandwiched between layers of gloss medium
5.1 *Impulse* add green gold over masking tape
6.0 Stamp an image on pretty paper, cut it out and glue it down.
6.1 *Impulse* cut a crescent moon out of paper from the monoprint from excess paint in step one – added more green gold as glaze. Use same paper to stamps some of the Lyrics from Jealous by Labyrinth
6.2 *Impulse* added gold ‘raindrops’ by finger-painting them on the page
7.0 Add doodles – Optional final prompt.
