Welcome to Journal Jam where we pull prompts and paint something in our art journals!

Please note that I can’t help with technical difficulties. Most of us find that having a free account with Vimeo and then logging in helps with things such as accessing chat. Refreshing your browser or turning down the stream resolution (look for the little gear in the lower right-hand side of the screen) solve most streaming issues. Update Adobe Flash if issues continue, or contact Vimeo support. Vimeo Live seems to work best on a desktop or PC.

Today’s beverage of choice is… box Chardonnay with sparking water

**Started with the palette page from Journal Jam #9**

1. Add some pretty paper scraps

1.1 *Impulse* making a tree trunk from the paper, glued down with UHU glue stick and then added a thin layer of polymer gloss

2. Use a palette knife – Rolled the dice for a colour – BLUE! Dylusions Periwinkle Blue

2.1 *Impulse* Gold circle for a moon

3. Wavy Shapes used Payne’s Grey for tree branches and trunk with roots – the Medusa Tree

4. Stamp

4.1 *Impulse* used deerfoot paintbrush as a stamp – Rolled for colour. Red – Pink is a tint of red… 😉

4.2 *Impulse* add a little bit of white.

5. Add lines – added back in some branches and roots

6. Overlapping circles

6.1 *Impulse* added overlapping circles along the edge

Moved into tending:
Glazed with Turquoise Phthalo
Added back in the pink in the tree leaves using a darker pink
Added in gold in the tree leaves
Added in gold in the tree trunk and branches for bark detail
Added gold details on edge of page
Added text along tree roots.
